As a 4WD model, the new 2021 Jeep Cherokee Altitude is available with two different engines. Both come with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The standard 3.2-litre V6 Pentastar motor uses ESS technology and variable valve timing to provide a more fuel-efficient performance. Generating 271 hp and 239 lb-ft of torque, you can expect to get around 11.8 L/100 km (20 mpg) in the city and 8.1 L/100 km (29 mpg) on the highway. The maximum towing limit for this particular version is 907 kg (2,000 lbs).
On the other hand, you may also opt for the turbocharged 2.0-litre DOHC Inline-4. Producing 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, it gets about 11.2 L/100 km (21 mpg) in the city and 7.6 L/100 km (31 mpg) on the highway. It can also pull up to 1,814 kg (4,000 lbs).
